 Understanding of incorporating standards of nursing practice into care services.
 The professional knowledge and skills necessary to plan, organize develop and direct the overall
operation of the Resident Care Department in accordance with the current state, federal and
local standards to insure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
 Must have strong computer skills.
 Qualified by experience and training to assess residents’ needs and to develop a service care
according to these needs.
 Valid driver’s license.
 Demonstrates an understanding of patho-social changes that is associated with the aging process
and disabilities that is used to develop interventions.
 Must possess leadership abilities, initiative, enthusiasm, and be able to communicate effectively
with associates and residents
